My first attempt at making this, I wrote way too much for a cap. To fix it I just stripped out everything but the lines. Rather than just toss it out, I figure someone would want to read it.

It Just Happened

“I know you probably don't even want to look at me...”

My breath quickened hearing Oliver's voice as he entered his old bedroom while I was leaning on the windowsill. I dared not look at him after what had just happened, instead, I only stiffened as he continued.

“I'm sorry, Jordan. It just sort of...happened,” He told me.

I stared out the window at the cookout taking place watching the scene. Oliver's little brother was playing with the dog while his parents took turns at the grill. His sister kept taking photos, directing the family into poses. His grandmother napped in the shade, completely unaware of the con Oliver and I were trying to pull.

“Look at it this way, this just proves how great of an actress you are,” he said without a hit of self-awareness.

When I finally turned my head I saw his eyes widen, “ACTOR! I meant actor! Shit. Dude, please. If I knew that I was going to get...if my body was going to react...” he trailed off.

I sighed, trying to stay calm. I wasn't mad, just confused. When his sister had us pose for a picture, Oliver holding me from behind, I never expected to feel my best friend get excited by our bodies being pressed into each other.

“Look, dude, we did it. My Grandmother bought that I have a steady girlfriend so the inheritance thing isn't going to be an issue now. We can just say that you weren't feeling well and had to go home early. You can stop doing the whole girlfriend thing,” he continued.

My reply slipped out before I could think to stop myself, “What if I don't want to stop?”
